2020 Monday Club 2nd March
Phil's Blog
Among the many damp and dreary days we've endured so far this year, today, for our March outing, we were blessed with wonderful weather, so I won't mention the bit of a chilly breeze.
Under blue skies we met for coffee at Woodford Lodge, Bristol Water's charming restaurant on the edge of their reservoir in the Chew Valley. Although only six of us, we were determined to take advantage of the location as this is also the base for the fishing fraternity at the lake, and the sailing club. We then moved to the other viewing area on the opposite bank where there's a good variety of waterfowl, not to mention another good cafe. We didn't need this however as our leader had booked us into the nearby Manor Farm Shop eatery, where we had lunch and a good chat.
