The weatherman forecast a superb October day, and that's what we got! Clear blue skies, sun, absolutely gorgeous. And we weren't going too far either. A car share though, as buses to Badminton are, but don't take my word for it, a bit thin on the ground. Seven of us, quite a small number especially for our outings of late, gathered at our local Wetherspoons, then drove the few miles to our venue. Famous for it's horsey connections, this Cotswold village is easily walked in not too many minutes, but we had all the time in the world, so we took about an hour or so. We ventured into the Park, very quiet now, but during the annual equestrian event, heaving. It was good to experience a little peace, although we could hear the barking of the hunt hounds in the distance. We were all snapping away when someone mentioned lunch. For this we took a short hop to the Cross Hands at Old Sodbury where we ate and whiled away another pleasant hour or so.
