External Competitions

The club enters a few external competitions through the year and will ask all members to submit images/prints for selection at the appropriate time. Details will be in our website programme.
Entries required as below.

December The WCPF DPIC (Digital Projected Image Competition). The entry is 18 images with no more than 4 from any one author, and no more than 4 nature images.
December The PAGB Great British Cup PI Competition. The entry is 10 images with no more than 4 images per author.
May The Barrian Cup. A competition for 5 prints one of which must be a landscape/seascape.
October The WCPF Kingswood Salver. A competition for a panel of 5 prints that must sit together harmoniously.

There are two WCPF competitions that Members may enter as individuals. These will be announced and details emailed to all members.
March The Nightshayes Trophy. Two prints on a set subject. See wcpf website for details and entry form. Closing date is usually first week in February.
April Members Exhibition. Prints and/or projected images. There are various classes, colour/mono/nature prints, open, creative, travel projected images etc. Check with the WCPF website for specifics and entry form. Entry is online from January to March.

Digital Projected Images

The club uses Dicentra Software from Wilbur Imaging to run Digital Projected Image Competitions. See here for their homepage.

The software requires that image files are submitted in a specific format - That is

The image to be resized at 1600 pixels(maximum) horizontal x1200 pixels (maximum) vertical. (1600x1200 pixels).
The image type to be JPG (suggest you set quality to maximum 12) you should use the sRGB colour space
The image filename to be the image's title.
Images to be in a folder; The folder name to be the entrants name(and qualifictions).
